. . . Invisible

It's out, but you can't see it. I think I was right in my surmise yesterday, the sun is washing out the sky to the East, so there's not enough contrast for the Mountain to be visible.

By contrast, the Olympics in the West are quite visible. I think if I wait until later in the day, the sky in the East will get darker and the Mountain will stand out more.

. . . Out!

Life has caught up with the Mountaineer. Between one thing and another I've not managed to squeeze my morning walk in for the past two weeks. Things are finally settling down, though, so I should be back to my usual routine now. Should being the operative word.

The weather is gorgeous today. It's perfect weather for spending time at the beach, which is exactly what I did today. About midway through my walk I stopped by the Fox Island bridge, sat down and watched the bait fish feed.

Today's Mountain photo is a bit hazy. I'm thinking that I'd probably get a better picture if I waited until late afternoon. There's more contrast that way, and the Mountain stands out more.

. . . Out!

There's still a haze in the east that's making it tough to see the Mountain, but it is most definitely out today. This photo was taken earlier in my walk than usual. I think the angle here makes the Mountain look bigger, and I love the colors.

. . . Not Out

The sun is finally burning through the cloud cover right now, but during my walk it was still hidden from view. So was (and is) the Mountain. You'll notice I've experimented with a different angle. I like this particular shot.

. . . Under Cover

Grey skies over the island today, but a beautiful day none the less. The deer were out and about as I took my walk, and the great blue heron was hunting.

. . . Busy

Or rather, I was. I didn't get my walk in today due to a lot of college prep that kind of ambushed me this morning. For the record, the Mountain was out but hazy. In other news, I am now immune to (some forms of) meningitis.

. . . Hazy, but Out

Nary a cloud in the sky today, but the haze over Tacoma is making it difficult to get the Mountain to show up in the pictures. On a side note, I snapped this picture in between (unsuccessful) attempts at snapping a photo of the belted kingfisher I saw down by the boat launch today.
